Prayers

«I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth»

An evening prayer was on March, 15, 2010 in the building of "Alpha and Omega". I sang in the group X-Press and I’m glad, that we could praise God with everyone who came. There were only 30 people of us, but we were one whole in a spirit. We prayed, listened to a sermon, had tea with biscuits.

The main goal of this evening was prayer for needs of "Alpha and Omega", about Ukraine, about a government and needs of each other. Sermon of Aleksey Navrotsky was about the "Parable about lost son" (Luke 15). He compared God’s children, who are as the eldest son from a parable, go to church, ossify in their heart, hardly carry their service and does not value what they have. And some, as a young son, go to the world, sin, and later realizing the errors, are afraid to come back to their Home, and think, that they will not be accepted by Father. But God is so loving, that He comes to people and He is always ready to forgive, arranging a great meal, and to wrap people with care.

On this evening I was impressed by an atmosphere, where love, rest and warmth reigned. We were as a big family, which cares for each one’s needs. But the most important is that we could glorify our Father, who is so careful and who bless us abundantly.

I think that such evenings must be more often, because, first of all we must pray, and just then will be advance in our lives and in the the life of "Alpha and Omega". For everything glory be only to God!
