x_997d10a3_smIt is just so cool to remember something good! And especially when this good causes a nice smile
on your face. Now I am talking about the "Alpha and Omega camp 2010” reminiscences, as they
are a good reason for me to have a wide smile on my face.

Actually it was a very cool time. Honestly speaking, now, after just a few days after returning from a camp, it is difficult to collect all emotions and impressions together, but I will try nevertheless.

So, in August 7-16, 2010 there was a time that every person, who wanted to go to the “A&O” camp, will have lots of good memories for a long time, not just for a couple of weeks, and people will live by impressions from such a cool rest, at least to the next “A&O” camp, which, possibly, will be in August 2011, traditionally, but we will find out about this later. "My Space" is a theme, which was chosen knowingly, today is very actual. Today, when all of us are deep in work, when we spend so much time in the virtual world, it is so important to talk about a human, about its surroundings (outer world), and what is the most important is to talk about its internal world - feelings, experiencing, relationships with other, relationships with God, about human’s sexuality, about human desires, about our belonging to. IMG_8543_smFrom the early morning spiritual food was “overcooked” in us during the whole day and in the evening we could talk about what we think about these topics. Evening programs were so various and interesting, that people didn’t want to skip any evening: family evening, presentation of buildings where we lived (it was very funny to think about some interesting way of such presentation, and also to watch presentations of others), musical evening, where we saw and heard many really talented people, evening, when we watched cartoon, evening, when our theater-studio showed an interesting performance, evening of talents and many others. Oh, by the way, i forgot to tell that there were very cool days, when boys did something cute for girls, expressing their love and respect to them, and also a day, when girls gave lots of their attention to the boys and even created a woman music band for singing a song specially for boys.

I am sure that everyone who played "Secret friend" game really liked it. Players creatively gave gifts to their friends; it was so pleasantly to get surprises from a secret friend. In camp there were very many guests from different cities of Ukraine, from the USA, Canada, Russia. We were very glad to have them in camp.

Thank you so much dear administrative directors of camp and your helpers, thanks to the preachers, leaders of discussion groups, helpers in cafeteria, sports leaders, to guys, who prepared program for camp, to all musicians, members of children ministry, thanks to those, who worked with techniques. Thank God for such incredibly super time at the Alpha and Omega camp!!!

For someone a middle of August is a beginning of preparation for the school year, someone actively begins to crop in these days, and someone becomes tanned on the sun. But for me a middle of August 2010 is a huge set of impressions after the Alpha and Omega summer camp. During 2 years I heard many positive reviews of this camp from absolutely different people, and finally I succeeded to go there. I can tell that all my expectations did not just come true, but really surpassed my expectations. Sea, sun and beach were the most boring in a camp, comparing to various things, which everyone could participate in, and there was no time for swimming. Football, volleyball, basketball, brain-ring, shaping, tennis – is not the whole list.

IMG_8812_smTheme of camp was "My space", the world which surrounds me, and every morning service we had an excellent spiritual food on this topic, which was given and then was "chewed" successfully by us on evening discussion groups. Every evening program was unique. Taking a seat on a bench every evening, I never knew what should I wait and each time there was something unforgettable. Time in the evenings with guitar, communication and games lasted to deep night. Unfortunately, I had left camp 3 days before camp finished, but this time was enough for me to find new friends and to spend a good time. I hope that next year I will be able to go to camp.

IMG_9232_smOnce again I come to Alfa and Omega camp thinking it will be my last time and leave thinking I will definitely be back! After spending 10 days at the sea with the most talented and creative people it is really hard to leave. The word at camp seems to always be understandable and to the point, it gives me a boost and keeps me fired up all year long. I truly love Alfa and Omega and don't doubt that I will be coming back for many more years to come!
