Мy place in this world!

It is only the beginning… What is there outside the borders of Ukraine? No, seriously, what’s there? What about outside my house, apartment, friends, acquaintances? Is there even anything there?!?!

Well, there is the church, and other churched, and people who don’t believe… a lot of people… beyond these boundaries around me there is the whole world, which is in need of Jesus Christ.

Beneath these words, back in 1974, Christian leaders from over 150 nations signed their names. But what about us? The words of the Great Commission are still valid for us today: “All the power on heaven and on earth has been given to me: Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you; and lo I will be with you to the very end of the age. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20) On Saturday, May 23, a group of 20 people gathered together at Alpha and Omega in order to ask God questions about His heart in relation to the nations of the world in our day and age. Through lectures about Biblical and Historical basis for Missionary Action, presentations by guest missionaries, talks about culture and strategies in missionary ministry, worship, fellowship and prayer, we came face to face with God’s work in our world. There was a desire to cry at the sight of the crowds flooding into the pagan temples in India, to call out against the blindness of the Muslim world, to speak with the Jews about their Messiah, to befriend the foreign students in our city and to pray, and pray, and pray. We asked God to ensure that no one left here unchanged and the abundance of His grace along with His Spirit poured out on each of us in response. And this is only the beginning =)
